Quad City Arts supports local and regional artists by
providing two different venues to exhibit and sell their artwork to the public, the Quad City
Arts Gallery and the Quad City International Airport Gallery. The Quad City Arts
Gallery is home to an exhibition space located on the first floor. The
building, which was once a turn-of-the-century department store,
features hardwood floors & an amazing fourteen foot-high ceiling. The
exhibition space is more than 1,500 sq. ft., a perfect space to showcase
large paintings, sculptures & enjoy musical & literary performances.
The Quad City International Airport, also known as Art @ the Airport, is a formal contemporary gallery that has more than 1,600 sq. ft. of exhibition space in floor-to-ceiling glass cases. Over 2 million visitors view this space annually. This gallery is located in the front of the main arrival/departure seating area among the majority of airport traffic. Exhibits in this space are monthly and pair artists with works from private, corporate and institutional collections.
The Quad City Arts Gallery is also home to a Gallery Store, a great place to purchase the original artwork of over 75 regional artists.
For artists interested in selling their artwork, our Gallery Store has an ongoing Call for Entries. We accept entries continually and present them to the Public & Visual Arts Committee for jurying four times per year. The work is presented by our staff to the committee through a blind jury process, so that the members do not see the name of the person applying. Notification is sent out directly following each meeting. Our Gallery Store represents over 75 local and regional artists working in just about any medium. Quality, originality and salability are the primary considerations for our committee. There is no cost to apply.
Each entry must include an information page with:
-
Your contact information
-
A list including the title, price, size and medium of the 6 images you plan to submit
-
A brief paragraph about your work
-
6 focused images of your work which should be saved as jpegs at 300-600 DPI. Save the file as the title of the work and make sure your name does not appear with the images. You may write your name on the disc itself. Note: You may also email images to dwmetallo@quadcityarts.com and attach word documents to the email.
-
A self-addressed, stamped envelope if you submit a disc and would like it returned, making sure the package is large enough and has adequate postage affixed to ensure its’ safe return.
